1. Overview
This Royalty Policy explains how Zaventra Music Group calculates, reports, and distributes royalties earned by artists and labels through our music distribution and publishing services.
2. Revenue Sources
Royalties are generated from the following sources:
- Streaming Revenue: Per-stream payments from platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, and Deezer
- Download Revenue: Per-download payments from digital stores
- Publishing Revenue: Mechanical royalties, performance royalties, and synchronization fees
- Content ID Revenue: Monetization from user-generated content on platforms like YouTube
3. Royalty Calculation
Royalties are calculated based on the revenue share percentage specified in your individual partnership agreement. Zaventra provides transparent reporting so you can verify all calculations.
Key factors affecting royalty calculations:
- Geographic distribution of streams (rates vary by country)
- Platform-specific per-stream rates
- Type of stream (free vs. premium)
- Your contractual revenue share percentage
4. Reporting
Detailed royalty reports are provided monthly and include:
- Stream counts by platform and territory
- Revenue breakdown by source
- Deductions and adjustments
- Net payable amount
Reports are accessible through your artist/label dashboard.
5. Payment Schedule
Royalty payments are processed according to the schedule outlined in your partnership agreement. Standard payment terms are net 60 from the end of the reporting period. Minimum payout thresholds may apply.
6. Payment Methods
Payments are made via bank transfer or other methods specified in your partnership agreement. You are responsible for ensuring your payment details are accurate and up to date.
7. Deductions
The following deductions may apply before royalty calculation:
- DSP platform fees and commission
- Currency conversion fees (for non-USD payments)
- Payment processing fees
- Any applicable taxes or withholdings
8. Auditing Rights
Partners have the right to audit Zaventra's royalty records with 30 days written notice. Audits must be conducted by an independent certified auditor during normal business hours.
9. Disputes
Royalty disputes must be raised within 12 months of the relevant reporting period. Disputes should be submitted in writing with supporting documentation.
