YouTube CMS & Content ID Administration Policy

Last Updated: October 19, 2026 • Published by Zaventra Music Group Operations

Policy Summary: Eligibility criteria for Content ID reference files, exclusivity standards, and rights conflict prevention.

1. Content ID Eligibility Requirements

YouTube Content ID is an automated digital audio recognition system that identifies matching audio in user-uploaded videos. To be eligible for Content ID delivery through Zaventra Music Group, recordings must satisfy YouTube's strict eligibility standards:
  • Must be 100% exclusive sound recordings owned or fully controlled by the submitter.
  • Must NOT contain royalty-free sample packs, loop library loops (e.g., GarageBand, Splice, Fruity Loops), or public domain recordings.
  • Must NOT contain karaoke tracks, soundalike covers, or generic sound effects.
  • Must NOT be previously registered with another Content ID administrator or distributor without prior release.

2. Rights Conflicts & Dual Ingestion

Submitting non-exclusive beats or previously claimed audio to Content ID triggers ownership conflicts, mutual revenue holds, and automated platform penalties. Submissions violating Content ID standards will be immediately removed from reference delivery.
